Two Russian River juvenile grizzly bears pass each other last week, with the male, right, showing a definite limp. Biologists darted both bears in August and declared their general health to be good. Ever since their mother was gut-shot and killed during the midsummer climax of Russian River fishing, the female cub has stayed by her wounded sibling, sometimes allowing the male to eat fish she has hauled ashore.
