5.7-magnitude Earthquake rattles Rat Islands

ANCHORAGE - The Alaska Earthquake Information Center says a moderate earthquake struck near the Rat Islands region of Alaska.

The magnitude 5.7 quake occurred at 10:27 a.m. Sunday about 150 miles west of Adak in the Aleutian Islands.

The quake was about 140 miles deep.

The earthquake information center says it received no reports of the quake being felt or causing damage.
