Vote to regain world's respect

Letters to the editor

Two days ago President Bush spoke before the United Nations and once again showed to the world that he lacks the depth of intellect or understanding to hold the job given him by his brother and the United States Supreme Court.

Early on in the speech Bush stated, "We know that dictators are quick to choose aggression, while free nations strive to resolve differences in peace." Did he honestly think that the collective members of the U.N., the people of the U.S., and the rest of the world would miss the irony in that statement? Was it not the U.N. that repeatedly sought peaceful negotiations to the search for weapons of mass destruction? Was it not Bush that pushed for war in Iraq to rid the world of the nonexistent weapons?

It is time earn back the respect of the world. Vote to send Bush back to Texas.
