Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Driving while intoxicated:

• Patrick Tassell, 45, was arrested for drunken driving and cited for failing to stop after an accident reported at 2:15 p.m. Sunday near Mendenhall Loop and Mall roads. Tassell drove his 1996 Ford Ranger ($3,500 damage) into a 1990 Jeep Cherokee ($4,000 damage). He was lodged at Lemon Creek Correctional Center and his vehicle was impounded.

• Joshua Bilbrey, 26, was arrested for drunken driving at 12:38 a.m. Monday near Third and H streets in Douglas. He was lodged at Lemon Creek Correctional Center and his vehicle was impounded.

Bear complaints:

• A bear was spotted at 3:38 a.m. Monday near Glacier Highway in Lemon Creek.


• A woman, 41, reported at 3:49 p.m. Sunday that a 1978 GMC pickup truck was keyed sometime over the night near East Valley Court. Damage was unknown.


• At 12:02 p.m. Sunday, a woman, 50, reported firewood had been stolen from her residence, near North Douglas Highway.

• At 3:39 p.m. Sunday, a man, 23, reported a silver amplifier, 50 CDs and car audio speakers were stolen from his red Chevrolet Cavalier sometime during then night near Amalga Street. The merchandise was worth $1,250.

• A woman, 18, reported at 12:16 a.m. Monday that her blue nylon trifold wallet, worth $10, was stolen a month ago somewhere downtown.

• A man, 23, reported at 11:03 a.m. Monday that his small, white, plastic trash can, worth $8, had been stolen near Gastineau Avenue.

• At 11:06 a.m. Monday, a green Mekita 3,500-watt generator was reported stolen over the weekend near Channel Drive.
