Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Domestic violence:

• Police arrested a 30-year-old man at 6:27 p.m. Monday on a charge of domestic-violence assault. They lodged him at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

• Police arrested a 29-year-old man at 8:58 a.m. Tuesday in the Mendenhall Valley on a charge of domestic-violence assault. They lodged him at the state prison.


• Police cited a woman on a charge of theft at 1:09 p.m. Monday in the 8100 block of Glacier Highway.

• A scooter was reported stolen at 1:53 p.m. Monday in the 100 block of Egan Drive. The scooter was later recovered.


• At 8:48 p.m. Monday a hanging basket was reported ripped down and destroyed in the 2800 block of Postal Way in the valley.

Vehicle burglary:

• At 4:21 p.m. Monday, a window was broken reported broken out of a vehicle on Cinema Drive in the valley.

Vehicle accident:

• Police cited a 22-year-old man on a charge of failing to yield after a stop and a 47-year-old woman on a charge of driving without insurance after an accident at 2:27 p.m. Monday on Glacier Highway and Trout Street near the airport. The man was driving a 1991 Subaru that sustained an estimated $1,000 in damage. Damage to the car the woman was driving, a 2001 Chevrolet Suburban, was estimated at $3,500.

Animal encounters:

• A bear was reported in a tree at 9:11 p.m. Monday in the 5800 block of Glacier Highway in the Lemon Creek area.

• Calls related to alcohol: 1

• Calls related to domestic violence: 2.
