With a large number of state and city workers looking at retirement in the next five years, and younger people unable to afford the high cost of living in Juneau, this community is looking at a smaller job base, declining school enrollment, a stagnant business sector and reduced city revenues. Without change, we're looking at some serious belt tightening.

We need leadership on the Juneau Assembly that can address these difficult problems, not with more studies, but with action. We have to learn to say no to expensive projects that do little to boost the economy and keep people in Juneau, and say yes to projects that will. Marshal Kendziorek knows the difference.
Marshal Kendziorek has the energy, experience, and commitment to tackle the challenges Juneau faces.
