Animal complaint:

Sound off on the important issues at

• At about 10:50 p.m. Wednesday, a bear was reported in a shed in the 9200 block of Cinema Drive.


• At about 3:20 p.m. Wednesday, several items worth $1,955 were stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 9300 block of Northland Street.

• At about 5:45 p.m. Wednesday, police received a report of the theft of two aluminum beams a month ago on Brandy Lane.

Traffic accident:

• At about 12:55 p.m. Wednesday, two people in a 1994 Cadillac were injured when it was struck by a 1999 Ford van on Glacier Highway. The Cadillac, driven by a 39-year-old woman, had $1,500 in damage. The van, driven by a 49-year-old woman, had $500 in damage.

• At about 11 p.m. Wednesday, a 53-year-old man on a bicycle was hit by a 1975 Chevrolet driven by an 18-year-old man on James Boulevard. The bicyclist was taken to Bartlett Regional Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Underage drinking:

• At about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, a 17-year-old girl was cited on a charge of underage drinking in downtown Juneau and was released to an adult.
