Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Driving while intoxicated:

• Richard Roomsburg, 52, was arrested for drunken driving at 2:45 a.m. Sunday near Glacier Highway. He was additionally charged with refusal and lodged at Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

Animal complaints:

• A small bear was struck by a vehicle at 1:06 p.m. Saturday near Thane Road.

• A woman, 28, reported at 10:15 p.m. Saturday that a bear tore the door off her shed, near Glacier Highway.

• Bears were reported Saturday at 10:54 p.m. near South Franklin Street and at 11:20 p.m. near Delta Drive.


• About 23 compact discs, valued at $300 total, and a pack of cigarettes were reported stolen at 2:37 p.m. Saturday from a 1990 Toyota truck near Aurora Harbor.

• A boy, 17, was arrested for shoplifting at 2:29 p.m. Saturday near South Franklin Street.


• A 1989 Ford Tempo was reported vandalized at 5:51 p.m. Saturday near West 12th Street. Both passenger tires were left flat.

Vehicle accidents:

• A woman, 26, reported at 5:59 p.m. Saturday that her 1997 Honda Civic was struck by a hit-and-run driver near Mendenhall Loop Road sometime between 9 p.m. Friday and 7 a.m. Saturday. The Civic sustained a dent to the driver's side front door.
