Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Driving while intoxicated:

• Bridget Petaja, 43, was arrested for drunken driving at 12:28 a.m. Tuesday near West 10th Street.


• A man, 31, was cited for shoplifting at 2 p.m. Monday near Vintage Boulevard.

• A woman, 48, reported at 8:10 a.m. Tuesday that her dark red men's bicycle, worth $400, was stolen sometime in August near Auke Bay Harbor.

• A man, 52, reported at 8:59 a.m. Tuesday that a Nokia cell phone had been taken from his unlocked Dodge Dakota, near Glacier Highway. The phone is worth $100.

• A man, 38, reported at 9:27 a.m. Tuesday that a bread-loaf-size purple lock box with a black handle had been stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the Juneau area. The box contained various keys, checkbooks and a business license.

• A woman, 45, reported at 10:47 a.m. Tuesday that a dark green Dutch Harbor coat worth $100 and her maroon Chinese silk wallet, containing identification, a credit card and about $14 in cash, had been stolen near Glacier Avenue.


• A woman, 64, reported at 8:41 p.m. Monday that a tire on her 2003 Dodge was punctured while the car was parked near Columbia Boulevard. Damage was estimated at $200.

• A man, 31, reported at 9:18 a.m. Tuesday that the right rear tire of his Ford Ranger had been vandalized while the car was parked near Mendenhall Loop Road. The tire was worth $150.

Minor consuming:

• A woman, 19, was cited for minor consuming at 9:56 p.m. Monday near Front Street.

Animal sightings:

• A large bear was spotted at 11:06 p.m. Monday near North Douglas Highway.

• A bear was seen at 10:14 a.m. Tuesday near Kanata Street.

• At 11:39 a.m. Tuesday, a woman reported a bear broke into her husband's shed and tore down two deer carcasses. It dragged one of them down the driveway of her Glacier Avenue home.
