Regarding Mr. Alan Kinsolving's letter of Friday, my long-term home has been Juneau for the past 35 years. During the last 27 of those years, my husband and I have been and are friends of William S. Morris III (Billy) and his wife.
Mr. Morris does not impose any of his feelings about local issues on his publishers. He told us years ago that he felt the people who lived here locally that worked for him had a better handle on local things than he did and he removed himself from those decisions. Mr. Morris is a man of his word and I know that what he said is true. That is one of the many things I admire about my friend Bill Morris.
