FAIRBANKS - Police staking out a car that had been reported stolen arrested a Fairbanks man on an outstanding drug warrant Saturday, then added some new charges.
Glen M. Jackson, 41, was arrested at 5:37 p.m. Saturday in the parking lot of a bar. Jackson had three bags of cocaine and was carrying several hundred dollars when police arrested him, said Sgt. Doug Whorton of the Fairbanks Police Department.
Jackson already was wanted in Anchorage on a charge of third-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance, Whorton said. "He was approaching a vehicle we were watching that was reported stolen earlier in the day," Whorton said.
A charge of vehicle theft has been forwarded to the district attorney's office.
