I am perplexed with the insistence of Dick Knapp to make the road out of town the all-important issue to catechize Marshal Kendziorek on when we have so many more pressing and immediate issues needing our attention as a community. I think Marshal gave the Chamber Of Commerce audience an honest and straightforward answer on the highway issue, which the Juneau Assembly has neither power to vote approval of nor appropriate funds for the construction of.

I am encouraging everyone to support Kendziorek for a seat on the Assembly because he won't be needlessly wasting time on issues that can't be resolved at the local government level. He will be someone who will focus on what's doable by our Assembly while asking and answering the tough questions that come along with casting votes as an Assembly member.
I also believe that Kendziorek will be an Assembly member who will stand up to the established and monied interests that have long dominated decision making at local government level.
Kendziorek has years of experience on the Juneau Planning Committee that will serve all of us well on the Assembly. He will be present and available here in our community when casting votes based on facts and will be receptive to receiving committee assignments and doing the demanding work of a committee member. We need Kendziorek on the Assembly.
