CRAIG - Authorities have released the name of an Alaska State Trooper who fatally shot a man after a standoff in Craig.
Wildlife Trooper Daniel Gunderson, based in Klawock, fired his weapon at 27-year-old Timothy Shawn Lloyd of Craig. Lloyd was killed in the Sept. 24 shooting.
The trooper was placed on administrative leave for three days.
Troopers say Craig police contacted them about an armed man who threatened to shoot himself.
Troopers responded to an apartment complex, where they say Lloyd fired multiple rounds in the direction of officers.
The other troopers at the scene have been identified as Sgt. John Brown and Trooper Aaron Mobley, also based in Klawock.
