Chic Gamine, an award-winning French Canadian vocal quintet, will perform in Juneau Friday, Oct. 1, at the Thunder Mountain High School Auditorium. The show begins at 7:30 p.m.
The Winnipeg/Montreal-based group blends rhythms from a variety of genres, including soul, gospel, R&B, '50s doo-wop, Brazilian forro and French chanson. Band members include drummer Sacha Daoud, and singers Ariane Jean, Andrina Turenne, Alexa Dirks and Annick Brémault.
In 2009, their self-titled debut album won a Juno Award for Best Roots/Traditional Album of the Year.
Reserved seats are $23 for adults, $18 for seniors, $8 students and $5 for children 5 years and under.
