Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:
Vehicle accidents:
In an incident reported at 12:22 p.m. Wednesday near Glacier Highway, a woman, 43, driving a 2002 Mazda, caused an accident with a 1999 Nissan four-door, driven by a woman, 29. The Mazda sustained $200 in damage, while the Nissan sustained $1,500 in damage.
A woman, 36, reported at 4:22 p.m. Wednesday that her Toyota was rear-ended by a white mini van that left the scene near Mendenhall Loop Road and Egan Drive. The Toyota was not damaged.
A man, 54, reported at 4:33 p.m. Wednesday that his Toyota four-door was struck by an unknown vehicle while it was parked near Glacier Highway. Damage to the right-front quarter panel and the end of the left-rear quarter panel was estimated at $800.
A man, 20, was cited at 5:25 p.m. Wednesday near Mendenhall Loop Road and Valley Boulevard for failing to maintain a safe distance after he drove his 2003 Chevy Cavalier into a 2002 Chevrolet. The two vehicles sustained a total damage of $10,000.
A woman, 50, reported at 6:10 p.m. Wednesday that her 2000 Ford Focus was struck by another vehicle near Willoughby Avenue. The Ford sustained $1,000 in damage.
Theft:
A woman, 38, reported at 7:39 p.m. Wednesday that her purse had been stolen sometime during the day near Glacier Highway.
A man, 48, reported at 10:11 a.m. Thursday that his vehicle, a 1992 Toyota pickup, had been rifled through near West Ninth Street. Nothing was taken.
Bear complaint:
A non-aggressive bear was spotted at 1:30 a.m. Thursday wandering around Wickersham Drive.
Minor consuming:
A man, 20, was cited for minor consuming at 3:27 a.m. Thursday near John Street.
Vandalism:
A woman, 18, reported at 8:51 a.m. Thursday that her home and vehicle were egged near Del Rae Road.
