Animal complaint:

Sound off on the important issues at

• A woman reported a bear in her hallway on Franklin Street at 12:02 a.m. The bear reportedly left on its own.

Minor consuming:

• A 15-year-old girl was cited for minor consuming in the 800 block of F Street at 4:25 a.m. She was released to an adult.

Domestic dispute:

• At 5:02 a.m., a 32-year-old man was arrested for domestic violence assault in the 5000 block of Glacier Highway. He was lodged at Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

Motor vehicle accidents:

• At 7 a.m., a 31-year-old man reported his 2007 Ford Focus had been involved in a hit and run sometime during the night in the 4000 block of Diane Road. Damage was estimated at $1,000.

• At 7:47 a.m., a 42-year-old woman reported her 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee had been involved in a hit and run on 3rd Street. Damage was estimated at $2,000.

• At 8:07 a.m., a 55-year-old man was cited for failure to exercise due care after he lost control of his 1990 Chevrolet van and struck a light pole. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $2,500 and damage to the pole was estimated at $2,000.

Vehicle rifling:

• On Saturday night, Juneau police began an investigation of criminal trespass into motor vehicles from the area of Gastineau Avenue to 12th Street. After an extensive search of the area, two subjects were located and various items were seized for safekeeping. The Juneau Police Department is asking any citizens in the area of Gastineau Avenue to 12th Street who had their motor vehicles entered and items taken to please contact the department at 586-0600 or visit www.juneaupolice.com to make a report.
