Let's not destroy our greatest resource

Juneau's greatest resource is its setting that attracts college students, retirees, tourists, etc., eager to escape the automobile-dominated communities Americans have "perfected" elsewhere. Why would we want to destroy another important part of the tideland refuge that dominates our city? Could we improve the charisma of our town this way? Let's not do it.
