ANCHORAGE - A $20 million construction loan is being provided to help build a new medical center in Wrangell.

Noel Rea, CEO of Wrangell Medical Center, says the loan will make the new hospital a reality, and provide better health and jobs for the community.

Rea said he appreciated Sen. Mark Begich's efforts in securing the funding from the United States Department of Agriculture.

Other funding awards included a $1.6 million grant to Annette Island Packing in Metlakatla to construct housing for the seafood processor.
