Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:
Thefts:
Five boxes of Bowman bolts and screws, valued at $1,400, were reported stolen at 10:04 a.m. Tuesday near Glacier Highway in Lemon Creek.
About $30 was reported missing at 6:08 p.m. Tuesday. The money was taken from a purse stolen Monday night from an unlocked vehicle on Meander Way. The purse was turned over to police.
Vandalism and criminal mischief:
A rear window broken out of a 1992 Subaru was reported at 7:16 a.m. Tuesday from Taku Boulevard.
A broken taillight on a vehicle was reported at 7:09 p.m. Tuesday near Nowell Avenue.
Animal encounters:
Bears were reported Tuesday at 7:02 a.m. near outbound Egan Drive and Williams Express, 7:35 a.m. near Thunder Mountain Road, 9:08 a.m. near Glacier Highway, 11:21 a.m. near Mendenhall Loop Road, 12:18 p.m. near Duran Street, 12:31 p.m. near Coogan Drive, 7:06 p.m. near Mendenhall Loop Road, 10:36 p.m. near Behrends Avenue and 10:46 p.m. near Point Lena Loop Road.
Bears were reported today at 12:11 a.m. near Manor Avenue, 1:13 a.m. near Mendenhall Loop Road, 1:46 a.m. near Glacier Highway, 2:22 a.m. near Garnet Street and 4:30 a.m. near Mendenhall Loop Road.

Crime Line
Juneau Crime Line is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest or indictment of the person or people responsible for the theft of a multimedia projector stolen Aug. 12 from the University of Alaska Southeast. The projector is described as a 3M projector, model number MP8750. The projector was in a black case with the letters ASB written on the case. The projector is valued at $6,763.60.
