Bednarowiczs and Randolphs lead teams to sweeps

JUNEAU - You could say this week was couples' night in the Sunday Mixed Bowling League, as several wife/husband combinations bowled series more than 100 pins over their combined averages.

Carlene and Pete Bednarowicz led the way combining for 133 pins over average, while Donna and Hugh Dilbeck combined to roll 117 pins over average, and Vanda and Loren Randolph bowled 114 pins over average.

Vanda Randolph took honors in the women's division with two 186 games and a 540 series. Carlene Bednarowicz broke the 500 series barrier for the first time in several years with games of 181/180 and a 509 series, while Maureen Danberg had another great night bowling 177/172/503.

Pete Bednarowicz took honors in the men's division bowling a 256/219/668. Other top men's bowlers were Loren Randolph, 231/230/651; Gus Gair, 227/202/618; Bryon Cogswell, 259; Kim Custer, 236; Tim Powers Sr., 218/201; and Jeff Jones, 248. Hugh Dilbeck and league newcomer David Rolf both rolled games more than 50 pins over average.
