Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:
Assault:
Police arrested a 33-year-old man on a charge alleging assault at 8:49 p.m. Wednesday near South Franklin Street. They lodged him at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
Police arrested a 22-year-old man on a charge alleging assault at 10:03 p.m. Wednesday near South Franklin Street. They lodged him at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
Vehicle accidents:
No injuries were reported in a traffic accident at 4:25 p.m. Wednesday at Egan and Highland drives. A 1992 Ford Ranger rear-ended a 1991 Toyota Corolla. The Toyota received minor damage. No damage estimate for the Ford was available.
Domestic disputes:
Police arrested a 21-year-old man on charges alleging assault, criminal trespass and criminal mischief, all related to domestic violence. They lodged him at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
Hit-and-run:
A man reported at 4:32 p.m. Wednesday that his 2000 Oldsmobile sustained damage to the rear driver's side panel while parked in a Glacier Highway lot. No damage estimate was available.
At 7:20 a.m. Thursday, a 2003 Jeep Liberty was reported struck Wednesday morning while parked on Harbor Way.
Disorderly conduct:
Police arrested a 25-year-old man on a charge alleging disorderly conduct at 2:46 a.m. Thursday near Amalga Street. They lodged him at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
Vandalism:
At 4:35 p.m. Wednesday, a woman reported a tire on her 1990 Toyota Corolla had been slashed sometime the previous night near Capital Avenue and Eighth Street.
Animal encounters:
A bear was reported getting into garbage at 9:41 p.m. Wednesday near Franklin Street and Martin Way. Several bear cubs were reported at 8:59 p.m. Wednesday near Wickersham Avenue. At 4:35 p.m. Wednesday, someone notified police that a bear had been seen the night before near Hayes Way and had broken into a shed.
