I think the senior tax exemption is a wonderful benefit for people who are elderly. It is quite fair, and an honor, to anyone who reaches elderly status. I would go so far as to state that those who are complaining are young enough to work and make an income that is not fixed.
Sound off on the important issues at
We do little to honor our elderly in this country. So let's be thankful that people who get to be elderly have a little something to be honored for. And the rest of us, let's work for our living, and if it means we have to pay a little more in taxes, so be it. I can't think of a population that deserves it more. I'm just glad I can work and have options, many elderly people don't.
