"Rat-a-tat-tat" is the sound of love knocking on your door. Ratatouille, above left, is not only a fabulously sweet 6-month-old female rat; she is also rumored to be a whiz of a cook in the kitchen.

Sound off on the important issues at

Ali, the cat, is a 2-year-old neutered male with a full-bodied black and white mane and a set of quirkily crooked white wiskers.

The kittens, left, surely are cute, but we don't wan't them any more. The Gastineau Humane Society has buschel, a bundle a whole bucketload of darling little two month old kittens who are spayed/ neutered, microchipped and bursting with love. Come visit them 3-6 p.m. Monday-Friday or 2-5 p.m. Saturday at the Gastineau Humane Society.
