KENAI - A man has been sentenced for a murder in Homer four years ago.
Kenai Superior Court Judge Anna Moran sentenced Leonard Wallace to 30 years in prison with 10 years suspended. She also ordered him Tuesday to be placed on 10 years of probation.
Wallace, 52, pleaded no contest to second-degree murder in 2005 in the death of Mephibosheth "Moshe" Wilkinson.
According to Alaska State Troopers, a Homer woman reported a man came to the porch of her home in 2004 and told her he had just shot someone. Troopers and Homer police found Wilkinson with a single gunshot wound to his head next to Wallace's pickup truck in the parking lot.
Investigators believe Wallace was drunk and thought he shot another man.
