Chuck Collins and Sara Chambers have stepped forward to lead the 2010 United Way of Southeast Alaska annual community giving campaign, building on past success and stretching the goal to increase both donors and donations by 10 percent this year.
Collins served on the Board of Directors of United Way of SE Alaska for six years, a temporary executive director in 2006-07 and worked on the campaign in 2009. The former owner of Copy Express currently is employed as the branch manager of the Behrends Branch of Key Bank.
Chambers is the President/CEO of Chambers Management, specializing in increasing organizational growth and visibility for a client base representing a cross-section of nonprofit, educational, political and arts organizations. She has over a decade of experience in high-level nonprofit administration. She has served as a City and Borough of Juneau Assembly member, has many years of volunteer service on local, state and national boards, is worship director at Chapel by the Lake Presbyterian Church and is head of Chambers family logistics.
"We are so lucky to have two such great community members lead our campaign this year," said Michelle Prebula, Chair of the United Way Board of Directors. "We've always been blessed with great community leaders and this year is no exception."
