Museums begin winter hours

Both the Juneau Douglas City Museum and the Alaska State Museum have recently switched to winter hours.

The city museum will be open to the public Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission fee is $4 for adults, and free for ages 12 and under. Office hours are Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, call 586-3572.

Winter hours at the state museum are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday, through mid-May. Discounted winter admission is $3, visitors 18 and under are free. The museum's admission fee is free the first Friday of every month from 4:30 until 7 p.m. For more information, call 465-2901.
