Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:


A woman reported at 6:53 p.m. Wednesday at the Augustus Brown Swimming Pool that her lavender blue rain coat was stolen from a hook in the women's locker room.

A woman reported at 9:15 p.m. Wednesday at the Augustus Brown Swimming Pool that her son's wallet containing a learner's permit, student ID card and cash was stolen. The wallet was left in an unlocked locker at the pool.

Underage drinking:

Police cited and later released a man, 20, for contributing to the delinquency of a minor at 2:57 a.m. today at an undisclosed location. A boy, 17, and a man, 18, also were cited for underage drinking.

Animal encounters:

Bears were reported Wednesday at 6:42 p.m. near the State Office Building, 8:05 p.m. near Second Street, 8:21 p.m. near Nowell Avenue, 9:46 p.m. near Douglas Highway and 10:55 p.m. near Taku Boulevard.

Bears were reported today at 12:05 a.m. near Seward Street and Third Street, 12:53 a.m. near Village Street, 3:03 a.m. near Second Street and the Baranof Hotel, 3:31 a.m. near Trinity Drive and 3:31 a.m. near Irwin Street.


Peter Quick, 30, was arrested at 7 a.m. Wednesday near Glacier Highway and Alaway Avenue for failure to register as a sex offender. He was taken to the Lemon Creek Correctional Center where bail was set at $500.

Dennis J. Morris, was arrested for three outstanding state trooper warrants and one Juneau warrant during a traffic stop at 8:18 p.m. Wednesday near Vintage Boulevard. Morris was lodged at the state prison where bail was set at $17,500.
