Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:
Thefts:
A Nokia cell phone, valued at $450, and three CDs were reported stolen at 8:29 p.m. Thursday from an unlocked vehicle on West Willoughby Avenue.
A silver Huffy Union 18-speed mountain bike, valued at $350, was reported stolen at 6:50 p.m. Thursday near Mendenhall Loop Road.
Animal encounters:
Bears were reported Thursday at 11:39 a.m. near Riverside Drive, 2:49 p.m. near Mendenhall Loop Road, 8:05 p.m. near Great Western, 9:30 p.m. near Berners Avenue, 9:38 p.m. near Mendenhall Loop Road, 9:42 p.m. near Mendenhall Loop Road and 9:48 p.m. near Meadow Lane.
A bear was reported today at 2:09 a.m. near Mendenhall Loop Road.
Other:
Police arrested a man, 26, for violating a domestic violence protective order at 10:04 p.m. Thursday in the Mendenhall Valley. He was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
