Photo: Lights off for good

Posted: Friday, October 04, 2002

The neon light for Taco Time is shut off after the fast-food restaurant closed over the weekend. The business, at the corner of Seward and Front streets, was owned by Tracy and Eric Forst. Subway, recently sold to Wade Bryson, remains open. According to a statement on the sliding window of the defunct taco business, the Forsts closed it "due to the economic situation of the past year as well as other factors." Taco Time is the second fast-food restaurant to close in Juneau in the last two weeks. KFC and Pizza Hut, housed in the same restaurant, also have closed.
