Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:


• Police arrested a 38-year-old man after an assault was reported at 2:54 p.m. Sunday in the 300 block of Whittier Street. They lodged him at Lemon Creek Correctional Center.


• About 12 to 15 comic books, each valued at $100, were reported stolen at 1:30 p.m. Sunday in the 8700 clock of Glacier Highway near the airport.


• Graffiti was reported at 12:16 p.m. Sunday on the side of a building in the 100 block of South Franklin Street.

• Graffiti was reported at 1:21 p.m. Sunday in the parking lot and on a wall in Cope Park.

• A 2005 Subaru Forrester was reported vandalized at 5:55 p.m. Sunday in the 900 block of Basin Road.

• At 12:27 a.m. Monday, an object, believed to have been an egg, was reportedly thrown at a home in the 9300 block of Betty Court in the Mendenhall Valley.

• At 6:06 a.m. Monday, a Toyota Corolla was reportedly vandalized on two occasions in the 200 block of Marine Way.

• At 8:31 a.m. Monday, the back window of a 2004 Toyota truck was reportedly vandalized at Seventh and Franklin streets.

Animal encounters:

• At 10:37 p.m. Sunday, a bear was reported walking along Egan Drive in the Sunny Point area. A bear also was reportedly seen at 11:32 p.m. Sunday near the police station on Alaway Avenue in the Lemon Creek area.
