Juneau resident Ruth Elizabeth Terry, 87, died Sept. 29, 2005, at her home.
She was born Jan. 26, 1918, in Salt Lake City. She arrived in Juneau via steamship in 1943 with her three young children. She worked in many different professions and retired from the federal government.
She is survived by her children, Dan Hanes, Diana Markovich and Yvonne "Yogie" Bowthorpe; and 14 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.
Services will be 1 p.m., Oct. 5, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Pallbearers will be David Ritter, Robert Markovich, Andrew Markovich, Kyle Finney, Donald Bowthorpe and Troy Bowthorpe. Honorary pallbearers are John Ritter, Matthew Markovich, Dave McFall, John Beedle, Chris Shipler, Dwayne Finney, Nathan Almas, Gary Blackwell, Bryan Bowthorpe and Gordon Griffin.
