Animal complaints:

Sound off on the important issues at

• A bear was reported at about 9:30 p.m. Tuesday on Stephen Richards Memorial Drive.

• Three bears dragging garbage from someone's yard were reported at about 10:25 p.m. Tuesday on Hermit Street.

• A man reported a sow and two cubs at about 11:45 p.m. Tuesday in the 300 block of 11th Street.

Driving without license:

• At about 12:10 a.m. Wednesday, a 25-year-old man was cited on a charge of unlicensed driving on Egan Drive.

Vehicle accidents:

• At about 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, police received a report of a two-car accident on Mendenhall Loop Road. A 48-year-old man driving a 1994 Chevrolet was cited for failure to exercise due care and having no proof of insurance. His car was not damaged. A 41-year-old woman driving a 1993 Mercury, which sustained $500 in damage, was cited for having no proof of insurance.

• A 30-year-old woman in a 1997 Ford Escort was cited for failure to maintain a safe distance after an accident at about 8 p.m. Tuesday on Egan Drive with a 1996 Ford Taurus, driven by a 23-year-old woman. The Escort sustained about $1,000 in damage and the Taurus about $2,500 in damage.

• A 54-year-old man was cited for careless driving after the 2006 Subaru he was driving struck a 1974 GMC, driven by a 30-year-old woman, just before 9 a.m. Wednesday on Riverside Drive. The Subaru sustained $3,500 in damage and the GMC $2,500 in damage.

• A 42-year-old woman was cited for driving without a license and failure to yield after the 2005 Toyota she was driving hit a 2001 Subaru Legacy, driven by a 66-year-old woman, at 9 a.m. on Glacier Highway. The Toyota sustained $2,000 in damage and the Subaru $1,000 in damage.
