Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:
Driving while intoxicated:
Katherine Milton, 31, was arrested for drunken driving at 5:21 p.m. Thursday near Second Street in Douglas. She was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
Dell Casidsid was arrested for drunken driving at 12:17 a.m. today near Glacier Highway. He also was charged with refusal to submit to a breath test. He was lodged at the state prison.
Janet Joseph, 24, was arrested for drunken driving at 3:06 a.m. today near West Willoughby Avenue. She also was charged with driving without a valid driver's license and refusing to take a breathalyzer test. She was lodged at the state prison. The vehicle was impounded.
Assaults:
A woman, 31, was arrested for domestic violence assault at 5:20 p.m. in the Douglas area. She was lodged at the state prison.
Underage drinking:
Police cited a boy, 17, and two girls, 14 and 17, for underage drinking at 3:01 a.m. today near Mendenhall Mall Road. They were released to responsible parties.
Vehicle accidents:
Police responded at 8:04 p.m. Thursday near Back Loop Road and Conifer Lane to an accident involving a vehicle and a bear. The bear ran into the woods after being struck by a silver Chevy, and it is unknown if it was injured. The accident caused $50 in damage to the vehicle.
Animal encounters:
Bears were reported Thursday at 6:39 a.m. near Douglas Highway, 11:59 a.m. near Patti Avenue and North Street, 8:43 p.m. near Great Western Street, 9;37 p.m. near Main Street and Fifth Street, 10:09 p.m. near Main Street, and 11:43 p.m. near Stephen Richards Memorial Drive.
Bears were reported today at 12:17 a.m. near Stephen Richards Memorial Drive, 3:22 a.m. near Gail Avenue, 3:34 a.m. near Sixth Street in Douglas, and 3:39 a.m. near South Franklin Street.
