... for helping Ashley

Almost nine weeks ago, our daughter, Ashley Herrin, was involved in an auto accident that resulted in serious injuries to her. While she has a long way to go, she is currently recovering well and we are thanking God for having her with us still. We would like to take a moment to say thank you to those who have been such a support to us during this difficult time.

Our heartfelt thanks go to Dr. Roode and the kind nurses in the BRH Emergency Room; we will always be grateful for your care and knowledge. Also a special thanks to the off-duty doctor and nurse who arrived at the scene shortly after the accident and the EMT's - thank you for knowing exactly how to treat Ashley to prevent further injuries. Because of all of you, Ashley is not paralyzed and in time, will be able to have a normal, healthy life again. Thank you for giving her that chance!

Special thanks to the Juneau-Douglas Fraternal Order of Eagles #4200 and Auxiliary for their generous donations - you are a wonderful family and we are blessed to know you. We want to thank the Moose Lodge #700 for the "hair razing" benefit and all those crazy and wonderful people who let them shave their heads - you guys are the best! To everyone who placed bids or made donations, we are grateful for your awesome support!

We are so very grateful for all the many thoughts and prayers from the Juneau Community. The emotional support has been tremendous and we are very thankful for the financial donations, the Alaska Airlines upgrades, phone calls, cards and letters by so many special individuals - bless you! We will forever remember the kindness the Community of Juneau has shown us during our unfortunate ordeal. Thank you once again each and every one of you - too numerous for us to list you all here - but you know who you are and we are blessed by you.

As Ashley will not be able to return to Alaska until months from now, we are temporarily staying in Washington in order to be with her and her doctors here. We can be reached at: PO Box 773 Soap Lake, WA 98851 mailing address, email address is, etc.
