... from the Boy Scouts
The Boy Scouts from Juneau Troop 12 would like to thank Kirby Day of Princess Cruises for helping them raise funds by recycling aluminum. Each week for the last several years the Dawn Princess and the Sun Princess have sorted their trash and donated the aluminum to the Scouts. Alaska Marine Lines has donated shipping to a recycling center in Washington. The funds raised have helped local scouts go camping, attend Eagle River Scout Camp and the National Scout Jamboree held last summer in Virginia.
... for helping Big Brothers Big Sisters
A big thank you to the Last Chance Mining Museum from Big Brothers Big Sisters of Juneau.
The museum graciously opened its doors at no charge for our monthly group activity in September. Big Brothers, Big Sisters and their Littles in our community program had a wonderful time sharing part of Juneau's history at the museum.
