Red Raiders overcome a 13-0 halftime deficit to beat Cougars

The Red Raiders got it done on offense and defense to nip the Cougars 16-13 in a Juneau Youth Football League senior division showdown over the weekend.

The Red Raiders' Matt Bautista scored the game-winning touchdown in the fourth quarter on a 15-yard run. Jeff Wolfe added a two-point run in the win.

Cameron Fronimos hit Brian Koenig on an 88-yard touchdown pass in the win.

The Red Raiders also had a safety.

The Cougars jumped to a 13-0 halftime lead as Brandon Donaldson scored a TD and Matthew Maka added a 13-yard TD reception from Chris Hoffman.


Seahawks 6, Titans 0

Thelea Savik scored the game's lone touchdown as the Seahawks topped the Titans.

Savik, the team's lone girl, scored on a 6-yard counter run to win the game.

David Wolfe, Maake Maake and Doug Lail helped pace the Seahawks' ground attack.

The Titans were led by quarterback Dorian Isaac and defender Bonham Ost.

Rams 14, Cowboys 7

The Rams built a 14-0 halftime advantage and held on to top the Cowboys.

Nathan Dalton had a 36-yard touchdown run and Karlton Schwab punched it in from 11 yards away for the Rams. Saul Santana converted both of his extra-point kicks.

Tomas Riley got the Cowboys on the board with a 5-yard TD run in the third quarter.

Tanner Petrie's extra-point helped the Cowboys cut the Rams' lead in half.


Spartans 32, Badgers 0

The Spartans scored 20 points in the first quarter and refused to look back in a shutout victory over the Badgers.

Chris Holloway returned an interception 26 yards for a TD, had a 14-yard touchdown run and completed a 1-yard TD pass to Fabien Munoz in the win.

Leka Maka added a 34-yard rushing TD and returned a punt 21 yards to the end zone.

Holloway also completed a two-point pass to Munoz.

Huskies 14, Sitka 12

Ben Hotch scored the game-winning touchdown on a 20-yard run with one minute left, lifting the Huskies past the Sitka Storm.

Hotch added a 4-yard TD run and Devan Neal converted a two-point conversion run for the Huskies.


Bruins 27, Hurricanes 0

Beau Damian threw two touchdown passes as the Bruins upended the Hurricanes.

Hunter Madding had a 23-yard TD reception and Samuel Nauer caught a 10-yard TD pass from Damian in the win. Damian also completed a one-point pass to Mason Baker.

Eric Moy also scored a rushing touchdown and Stephen Costello added the one-point run.

Defensively for the Bruins, Trentyn Days recovered a fumble.
