Man set on fire in Eugene, Ore., assault

EUGENE, Ore. - Police in Eugene are asking for assistance in finding out who set a homeless man on fire.

The assault happened about 3 a.m. on Saturday morning. A 43-year-old homeless man was walking on a sidewalk when he reported being bumped from behind.

As he turned around he was set on fire. The man was able to roll on the ground and put the fire out, but was taken to the hospital with painful burns on his hands and face.

Police say they are looking for any information in the case.
