Juneau resident Milton Robert Nickerson died Sept. 23, 2002, in Juneau.
He was born to Elmer and Elizabeth Nickerson in New Brunswick, Maine, on April 7, 1947. He traveled and moved extensively because his father was a career military man. He lived in Alaska since the late 1960s and was a lifelong cab driver, working in Juneau for Metro Taxi.
His family says they will miss his caring nature and his refreshing stubbornness, smile, sense of humor and sharp wit.
He is survived by his daughter Amber McConnell, son-in-law Joe McConnell, and grandchildren Skyler and Rainy.
Services were held in Juneau on Friday, Oct. 4.
