Barbara Blair, left, and Willie Larsen work at one of four quilting stations staffed on Wednesdays at Resurrection Lutheran Church. Since 1991, members of the church have been making quilts for Lutheran World Relief, which in turn sends the quilts to those who need them in Afghanistan, China and Russia, as well as to countries in Africa. It takes the women of Resurrection Lutheran 45 minutes to make a quilt. They expect to ship 400 of them this year.
