Dulcie Agnes Collins

Juneau resident Dulcie Agnes Collins, 79, died Oct. 1, 2005, in Juneau after a four-year battle with cancer.

She was born to Harold and Louisa Arab on July 13, 1926, in Yokohama, Japan. After World War II, she moved to the United States. She moved with her family in 1955 to Juneau.

She spent many years as a homemaker and worked more than 20 years for the state in the Department of Transportation.

She was artistic and loved to draw, paint, knit and crochet. She was a Seattle Mariners fan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Louisa Arab.

She is survived by her children, Carol Sewill and her husband Steve, and Ray Collins and his wife Carol; her granddaughters, Jennifer Sewill and Lindsey Collins; her sister, Helen Bonnett and her husband George, all of Juneau; and her brothers, Harold Arab of Hawaii and Richard Arab and his wife Maria of Texas.

A memorial service will be 2:30 p.m., Oct. 13, at St. Paul's Catholic Church. A reception will follow at the church hall.

Memorial contributions may be made in her name to Hospice and Home Care of Juneau or charity of choice.
