Parnell appoints Juneau's Enoch to disabilities committee

JUNEAU - Gov. Sean Parnell announced Tuesday the appointment of Don Enoch Jr. of Juneau to the Governor's Committee on Employment and Rehabilitation of People with Disabilities.

Enoch is an education specialist with the Department of Education and Early Development and has previously served as director of student services at Ilisagvik College in Barrow, superintendent, principal and special education instructor for the Denali Borough School District, and special education teacher for the North Slope Borough School District.

Enoch has a bachelor's degree from Black Hills State University in South Dakota, and a master's degree in educational administration from the University of Alaska Anchorage.

The 15-member committee helps provide rehabilitation and employment services to Alaskans with disabilities, advises the state on ways to provide assistive technology and services, secures federal vocational rehabilitation funds and creates statewide interest in employment and rehabilitation.
