Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Driving while intoxicated:

Bryant Bearfield, 50, was arrested for drunken driving after being involved in an accident about 1:15 p.m. Friday on Channel Drive. The vehicle Bearfield was driving, a 1995 Ford pickup, was impounded. Bearfield was transported to and lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center. He was additionally charged with refusal to take a breath test.

About 2 a.m. Saturday, Robert Noble, 38, was arrested near the intersection of Ka-See-An Drive and Lee Smith Drive for drunken driving and for driving with a blood-alcohol level over 0.l0 percent. He was transported to state prison.


About 11:15 p.m. Friday, a man, 36, was arrested in the Mendenhall Valley for domestic violence assault and transported to state prison. Alcohol was involved in the incident.

About 11:15 p.m. Friday, an intoxicated man, 32, was arrested downtown for assault and criminal mischief. He was transported to Bartlett Regional Hospital for treatment of his injuries, and then taken to state prison.

Thefts, lost and found property:

About 2:15 p.m. Friday, a police officer found a chain saw, which was placed into safekeeping at the Juneau Police Department pending contact with its owner. The saw was found on Main Street.

About 3:30 p.m. Friday, a man, 39, was cited for concealment of merchandise and released at his residence.

Shortly before 7 p.m. Friday, police received a report of a boy's trick bicycle found at Jordan Creek.

About 8:30 p.m. Friday, police arrested a man, 22, for larceny and transported him to state prison. Alcohol was involved.

Underage drinking:

About 1:30 a.m. Saturday, a boy, 18, was cited on Glacier Highway for being a minor operating a vehicle after consuming alcohol. He was then released.


About 2:30 a.m. Saturday, a man, 51, reported his unoccupied vehicle had been struck while parked in the Lemon Creek area.


Capital City Fire & Rescue responded to a fire alarm about 6:50 a.m. Saturday at the 20th Century Building. Firefighters could find no fire or smoke when they arrived on scene.

Animal encounters:

Shortly after midnight Friday, police received a report of a bear in the Lemon Creek area.


About 5:30 p.m. Friday, police stopped a GMC truck on Dredge Lake Road. They cited a citizen, 21, for driving with a suspended operator's license. The vehicle was released to a licensed driver.

Shortly after 7 p.m. Friday, a man, 22, was arrested on South Franklin Street for disorderly conduct and transported to state prison. Alcohol was involved in the incident.

Just before 11 a.m. Saturday, police and the Auke Bay firefighters responded to a report of a power line across the road in the Auke Bay area. They kept the road blocked until an AEL&P crew arrived at 12:12 p.m. The wire was then re-strung.
