Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:
Thefts:
• A palm pilot and $20 were reported stolen at 12:46 p.m. Monday from an unlocked vehicle near Meander Way.
Hit-and-run incidents:
• A dent in a driver's side door of a Chevy truck, caused by a hit-and-run incident, was reported at 9:33 a.m. Monday near Glacier Highway.
Animal encounters:
• Bears were reported Monday at 8:31 a.m. near View Drive, 10:08 a.m. near Cross Street, 10:20 a.m. near Point Lena Loop Road, 8:57 p.m. near South Franklin Street and 9:21 p.m. near Marine Park, and today at 12:57 a.m. near James Boulevard.
