Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:
Theft:
At 8:28 a.m. Thursday, a blue men's mountain bike was reported stolen sometime the previous night near Glacier Highway.
Vandalism:
At 9:50 a.m. Thursday, two tires were reported slashed on a Ford Club Wagon. Damage was estimated at $400.
Traffic stops:
Police impounded a vehicle at 12:16 a.m. Thursday after citing its driver, a boy, 16, on a charge of driving without a valid license in the 900 block of Sharon Street in the Mendenhall Valley.
Police impounded a vehicle at 7:25 a.m. Thursday at Mendenhall Loop Road and Jo Ann Way after citing its driver, a woman, 34, on a charge of driving without a valid license.
Animal encounters:
At 11:13 p.m. Wednesday, a woman reported a bear in a yard at Fifth and Franklin streets. The bear was not reported to be causing any problems and eventually ran away.
