ANCHORAGE - Two people were charged with robbery after Anchorage police say a drug deal went wrong.
The Anchorage Daily News reports that 19-year-old Megan Howes and 31-year-old David Colby have been charged with first-degree robbery.
Police spokesman Lt. Dave Parker says the two were arrested Wednesday morning after they tried to buy the painkiller Oxycontin.
Parker says witnesses told police that Howes and Colby had given $240 to two men and a woman for the drug. When the delivery was not made, police say Howes and Colby chased them in a pickup. The two vehicles collided.
Police say Colby and Howes then took cash and cell phones.
