Juneau Co-op Preschool is a community asset
I appreciated your recent article about preschool teacher and yoga instructor Rhonda Gardinier.
My children have attended Juneau Co-op Preschool for the past four years and Rhonda is a great example of the caliber of the teachers there.
Yes, they are trained and experienced teachers, but they are also talented artists, musicians and community members in their own right.
Juneau Co-op Preschool is a 30-year-old Juneau institution run by the families in the school. Parents volunteer in the classroom so we can share in the education of our children and maintain a very low child/adult ratio. My oldest daughter was well-prepared when she entered kindergarten this year.
With all the changes in our community over the past 30 years, I am impressed that the preschool has survived and flourished. Many differentpeople have leador supported the schoolover that time.
