Juneau resident Evelyn Henkins, 85, died Sept. 26, 2003, in Juneau.
She was born April 3, 1918, to Lloyd Saville and Vernice Ruth Snare. She moved to Juneau in 1938 and became a homemaker.
Her family said she was fond of gardening, photographing flowers and visiting with friends and family.
She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Sanders of Stayton, Ore.; sons, Lester Henkins of Juneau and Dale Henkins of Douglas; and grandchildren, Anna Sanders of Key West, Fla., Paula Rose of Juneau, Gail Sanders of Charlotte, S.C., Tamara Henkins of Juneau, Jayson Sanders of Douglas and Mark Sanders of Juneau.
Memorial services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 19, at the Douglas Community Methodist Church.
