Fight for your rights

Posted: Sunday, October 09, 2005

In response to Shane Wirtz's recent letter, I agree 100 percent. I have been saying for many years this is the only state where open discrimination is allowed. Yet I also feel if they can do this openly and get away with it (which they can), would you really want to work for them? What do you think your chances would be of remaining a full-time employee? It would be like working your tush off for the state, being the best employee you can be and then being dumped or passed over because you were hurt and could not do the job like you used to. They do everything in their power to see to it that others see you are not fit, so they can justify getting rid of you.

Just be happy they can't do that to you. Maybe you should contact the ACLU, because discrimination is discrimination no matter what way you look at it.

I truly believe that all of us Americans have forgotten how to fight for our rights.
