The
elegant Ladies in Red Luncheon benefiting the Armed Forces Emergency Services Program was a great success. The Red Cross would like to acknowledge several businesses and individuals who helped make this possible. Many thanks to our pianist Beverly Haywood, Jeff Brown and KTOO, Hearthside Books, The Rie Munoz Gallery, Ad Lib, Cuts on Line and Valley Lumber. The first place "Lady in Red" award went to Melanie Lesh, with Rep. Bruce Weyhrauch taking home the male honors. Judging was done by "Men in Blue" Eric Duncan, Mike Aurella and Conrad Delatorres from Coast Guard Station Juneau. These fine men truly are "red hot!"
