Huskies win JYFL Junior Division championship; All-Stars selected

The Juneau Youth Football League Junior Division Huskies won the division title Saturday, then placed six players on the All-Star roster.
Tevita Maka scored a rushing touchdown as the Huskies edged the Badgers 6-2 at Adair-Kennedy Memorial Park to claim the championship. After the game, a half-dozen Huskies - Maka, Ryan Baldwin, Chris Hoffman, Matthew Maka, Alex Martin and Tom Wolfe - made the select team that will travel to play Kodiak next weekend.
Joining the six Huskies will be:
• Badgers: Chas Duran, Eric Fagerstrom, Trevor Held, James Langendorf, Devan Neal.
• Hawkeyes: Ben Hotch, Nelson Laborio, Anthony Staton, Erin Veter.
• Spartans: Jacob Eames, Lawrence Fenumiai, Cameron Fronimos, Ty McMichael.
